Careful negotiation convinced Camden Council to support our approach to developing a contemporary addition to a grade 2 listed mansion block in Hamsptead. Remodelling within the existing building was crafted to match the existing fabric; however the new extension is a clear departure, separated from the original building with a linear glass roof light. The use of traditional brickwork and copper oxide cladding formed a visual link.
